Nathan died in St. Clair County, Illinois but his place of burial is unknown (probably will never be known) and this page is being added simply to tie the spouses and children of Nathan together for research purposes.
Nathan married second Elizabeth "Betsey" Newcomb (widow of Ephraim Fairchild), born in Connecticut and died about 1846 in St. Clair County, Illinois.
Betsey had two children with Ephraim Fairchild.
1) William Hensley Fairchild, born 1819 in Harrisburg, Dauphin, Pennsylvania, and died 23 Aug 1882 in Stockton, San Joaquin, California. (Find-A-Grave, Memorial# 25076773)
2) Ephraim Fairchild, born 1822 in Bradford County, Pennsylvania and died 29 Mar 1898 in Port Costa, Contra Costa, California.
Nathan married third Milbury/Milbry/Milbra James (widow of John Lively), born about 1800 in Tennessee, and died after 1860 in St. Clair County, Illinois.
Milbury had one child with John Lively: Ruben Lively, born abt. 1836 and died 17 March 1907 in St. Clair County, Illinois. (Find A Grave Memorial# 85029947).
No change/just clarification, I think it is wiki which states no source is provided for the d.o.d. for Nathan Taylor. I obtained from St.Clair County , Illinois a copy of the probate for Nathan which gives his death date as 11, Dec. 1847 signed by John D. Hughes, probate Justice of peace for St. Clair County, Il on 26, Jan. 1848. The copy is from microfilm and it has no coding/ index numbers. Any person should be able to request this probate from the St. Clair County, IL Clerk as I did, although I can say it was no simple task. Side note: Benjamin Ethel Taylor was born 1840 in Illinois after Nathan and Eliz. Newcomb Fairchild Taylor had settled there 1838-9 coming from Bradford County, Pa. Ben himself provided this 1840 birth year in all federal census 1860/70/80/90/1900 in his Calif locations without any variations at all. Andrew Judson Taylor was my ggrandfather. His f.a.g info is under his entry at the Dublin Pioneer Cemetery, Alameda County, Calif. Every entry which Len provides has a source. That is how us, in our line of cousins, work.
