Robert Earle Towns
Services for Mr. Towns will be 2 PM Sunday, December 14, 2008
at Partlow Funeral Chapel with Dr. Bruce Grubbs and the Rev.
Robert Agee officiating. Interment will be in Wilson County
Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Saturday, December 13,
2008 from 4-8 PM and Sunday, December 14, from noon until
service time at the funeral chapel. Mr. Towns, 98, of Hermitage,
died Friday, December 12, 2008 at Summit Medical Center. He
was a farmer and a member of Gladeville Baptist Church. He was
preceded in death by his wife, Mary Bland Towns; parents,
Daniel and Callie Towns; sister, Sarah (Burnice) Broiles and
brother, Aubrey (Ruth) Towns. Survivors include: sons, Paul
(Carole) Towns and Gary (Phyllis) Towns; daughter, Sue
Armstrong; eight grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren and
four great great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Steve
Barnes, Bobby Towns, Bryan Richetto, Drew Derosett, Larry
Dodson, Butch O'Neal, Jeff McCanless. Honorary Pallbearers
will be Ben Hurt, Robert Smith, Kenneth Linton, Paul Whaley
and Gahlon Smith. Partlow Funeral Chapel is in charge of
arrangements.
