Actress. She was best known to film viewers as 'Sylvia Trench', James Bond's girlfriend in the first two Bond films "Dr. No" and "From Russia with Love". Born Eunice Elizabeth Sargaison, she made her acting debut in the television movie "Between Ourselves" in 1948. She would go on to appear in numerous television series during her career such as "Rheingold Theatre", "The Vise", "BBC Sunday-Night Theatre", "The Saint", and "The Avengers". In 1962, she was cast as 'Sylvia Trench' in the film "Dr. No". In the film, she was part of the scene that created one of cinema's most famous catchphrases when James Bond introduces himself to her as "Bond, James Bond". She also appeared in the second Bond film "From Russia with Love in 1963. She was supposed to be a regular in the film series, but her character was dropped. Besides the Bond films, she also appeared in such films as "Melody in the Dark" (1949), "Dance Hall" (1950), "Out of the Clouds" (1955), and "The Revenge of Frankenstein" (1958). Her last acting role came in 1972 in the television series "The Adventurer". She also appeared on the theatrical stage in London during her career.
