Barbara Ann Jessup Humphrey, 73, of LaGrange, GA passed away Friday, June 8, 2018 at her home.
Mrs. Humphrey was born October 1, 1944 in LaGrange, GA to the late Clarence Junior Jessup and Emma Milam Jessup. She was a member of Creekside Baptist Church. Mrs. Humphrey previously was a Registered Nurse at West Georgia Medical Center and a charter member of the National Association of Neonatal Nurses. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Alvin Humphrey; grandchild, James Holston Humphrey; and brother, Clarence Jessup.
Survivors include her children, James Huey (Juanita) Humphrey, Leola LaVerne (Jeff) Norred, Paula Wyn (Ray) Tarwater, and Rebecca Ann Miller; grandchildren, Joshua Bradley (Keri) Miller, Jacob (Jonathon) Humphrey, Ashley Crawford, Christian Norred, Ashley Powell, Brianna Rae Tarwater, CJ Tarwater, Jerica Miller, and Alex Miller; great grandchild, Mason Miller and numerous other great grandchildren; sisters, Emma (David) Allen and Beverly (Danny) Walton; sister-in-law, Cheryl Jessup; other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Life service will be held 2:00pm Tuesday, June 12, 2018 in the Chapel of Striffler Hamby Mortuary with Rev. Lamar Truitt and Rev. Bryan Geter officiating. The gathering of family and friends will be on Tuesday from 1:00pm to 2:00pm prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Shadowlawn Cemetery.
