Joyce Floretta Downs, 71, Fishers, passed away June 7, 2018. She was born in Dayton, OH to Frank and Ruth (née Henry) Floretta.
Joyce graduated from Richmond High School in 1965 before going on to earn her Bachelor’s degree from Indiana University in elementary education.
She was the loving mother of Emily (Matt) Ahlfeld, Sarah (Andy) Hodson, Alison (Ben) Spanner, and grandmother of Blythe, Reis, Lane, Grant, Claire, and Oliver, all of whom survive her. Other survivors include her siblings, Judy (Jerry) Rush and John (Ann) Floretta.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Her mother, Ruth Evelyn (née Henry), born May 29, 1914 in Ohio (daughter of Arthur Henry and Myrtle Erbaugh ), remarried in 1979 to Sydney A. Finer in Sarasota, Florida. Sydney died in 1981. She was still living as of 2010.
