Mrs. Davidson attended Longwood College and was a business teacher for five years. She and her husband, Charles, established Southern Auto Supply in Fredericksburg, where they worked together for 33 years. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church and lived her life faithful to her Lord and shared his love with those around her.
She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Charles W. Davidson; and three daughters, Amy Grubb and her husband, Robert Grubb, of Fredericksburg, Dr. Sarah Ford and her husband, Nathan Ford, of New Bern, N.C., and Anne Davidson of Blacksburg. Other survivors include four grandchildren, Adam, Mary Katherine, Lauren and Benjamin; her mother, Margaret Phelps of Winchester; two sisters, Leslie Ann Beach and her husband, Charles Beach of Williamsburg and Betsy Farel and her husband, the Rev. Eric Farel, of Winchester.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday, June 12, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg. A funeral will be held Monday, June 13, at 11 a.m. at Friendship Baptist Church in Stafford County, with the Rev. Jack Marcom and the Rev. Eric Farel officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery in Fredericksburg.
