Mr. Lewis Wayne Cox, age 72, of James B. White Hwy. South, Tabor City, NC, died Thursday, June 7, 2018, in the New Hanover Regional Medical Center, Wilmington, NC. Born September 24, 1945 in Horry County, SC, he was the son of the late Lewis Jackson and Dalma Cox.
He was a Veteran of the United States Army.
He is survived by his wife: Evelyn Marie Stone Cox of Tabor City, NC; one son: Jonathan Cox and wife Crystal of Tabor City, NC; one sister: Linda Faye Cook of Loris, SC; and one grandson: Landon Cox.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers: Billy Cox, Buddy Cox, Darrell Cox, and William P. “King” Cox.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 10, 2018 at 3 PM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the chapel.
