Kyle Lewis Butler, age 28, a resident of Bennington, VT, died at home on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 due to sudden complications from Type 1 Diabetes.
Kyle was born in Derry, NH, on May 4, 1990, and was the son of Bret Butler and Linda Butler. He was a 2008 graduate of Pinkerton Academy in Derry, NH and received a bachelor’s degree from Bates College in Maine. Kyle was most recently doing medical research in Vermont, and he aspired to become a physician. He was to begin medical school in July.
Kyle played guitar and piano, loved reading and writing, and was a committed life-long learner with interests in physics, mathematics, computer science, visual arts, and literature. Kyle was kind and loving and will be greatly missed.
Kyle is survived by his mother, Linda Butler of East Hampstead, NH, and his father, Bret Butler of Newburyport, MA, as well as one brother Justin Butler and sister-in-law Emily Falk of San Francisco, CA. He leaves his grandfather Raymond LaCroix, aunts, uncles, cousins, and his long-time girlfriend Deana Lorenzo.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, June 12th at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St. Salem, NH. If attending the service, please arrive by 5:45pm. An hour of visitation will follow the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Diabetes Association, PO Box 15829, Arlington, VA 22215 or to the Brain and Behavior Research Foundation. 747 Third Ave., 33rd floor, NY, NY 10017.
