Cecelia Beatrice Nelson, 66, died April 22, 1989 at her home in Chaptico.

Born Sept. 12, 1922 in Clements, she was the daughter of the late Ira F. and Mary Alberta Guy Tennyson.

Mrs. Nelson was a homemaker. She had lived 45 years on Deep Falls Farm in Chaptico.

She was the wife of James Andrew "Toots" Nelson and the mother of Janet "Jody" Gray, Sylvia M. Gainey, Brenda L. Caywood, Rita D. Buckler, Rose A. Roth, Tina L. Bowles, James "Mopjack" Nelson, Joseph “Fred" Nelson, Francis "Bubba" Nelson, Charles "Manzie" Nelson, John "Dink" Nelson, Thomas "Sam" Nelson, Kenneth A. Nelson, R. Wayne Nelson and Wallace B. Nelson.

Mrs. Nelson is also survived by three sisters, Nettie Yates, Alberta Wiedler and Lorraine Wood; one brother, Jim Tom Tennyson; 28 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Prayers were said April 24 at the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home chapel The Rev. Neal Ward offered mass April 25 at Our Lady of the Wayside Church in Chaptico. Interment followed in Charles Memorial Gardens.
