A celebration of life for Joel Parker, age 26 of Jasper, will be 2:00pm, Saturday, June 16, 2018 at Tanglewood Baptist Church in Jasper. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 – 8:00pm on Friday, June 15, 2018, also at Tanglewood Baptist Church.
Joel died June 7, 2018 at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont, Texas. He was a native and lifelong resident of Jasper, Texas.
Joel liked to play soccer, baseball, video games and spending time with his family. He played in video game tournaments in Boston and Philadelphia. He was a member of Tanglewood Baptist Church.
Joel is survived by his parents, Mike & Melody Parker of Jasper; two brothers, Jason Parker & fiancé Sharika Martin of Beaumont, Texas, and SSG Jeff Parker of Fort Rucker, Alabama; a sister, Julie Collins & husband Billy of Longview, Texas; three nieces, Makynzie, Kamdyn, and Rylie; and two nephews, Aden and Nathan.
