Al is also survived by his three children: Michael (Kitty) Finney, Michelle (Willis) Higley and Leanna (Chris) Finney; eight grandchildren: Jesse, Mika, Tala, Taige, Samantha, matthew, Jax and Jemma; three great-grandchildren: Zayne, Selica and Levi; brothers: Bill (Jenny) Finney, Jay (Lois) Finney and Larry (Mary) Finney; sister: Dena Combs; aunt: Wendy Manis and first wife: Linda Sue Finney.
Al served in the U.S. Army from 1970-1973. He served as past District State Commander and Chapter Commander for D.A.V. #23. He was a past VP for Michigan City Fish and Game Club. Al belonged to Roofers’ Union Local #23. He was retired from Tonn & Blank Construction with 35 years of roofing experience. Al also served as a past president of the Glorystompers Motorcycle Club. He loved to ride cross country on his bike. He also was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, but most of all he loved playing with his dogs and grandchildren.
