Mrs. Sullivan is survived by her husband of fifty years, Charles Sullivan; one son, Charles Howard Sullivan; daughters, Cheryl Barrett Johnston, and Sherrie Sullivan Summerlin and husband Kevin Summerlin all of Mt. Pleasant. She leaves behind sisters-in-law Mary Jo Beck of Sulphur Springs, Cecilia Beck of Tomball, Texas and Edee White and husband Glenn Mack White of Sulphur Springs. Also surviving are brothers and sisters-in-law, Jerrel and Patsy Beck of Garland, Texas and Kenneth and Janice Beck of Nacogdoches, Texas; and sister and brother –in-law Martha and Gerald Heard of Sulphur Springs. She has nine grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, daughter Lisa Barrett; sister and brother-in-law Billie and Harold Henry; brothers, James, Wayland Wayne and Johnny Roy Beck, and two great grandchildren.
Mrs. Sullivan kept children for 28 years. She became a loving part of each one’s family and was often asked to attend their various celebrations. She was affectionately known as Granny to all the children whose lives she touched.
Family will meet with friends and loved ones on Saturday, June 9, 2018 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Bates-Cooper-Sloan Funeral Home. A service will be held on Sunday, June 10, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Bates-Cooper-Sloan with burial to follow at 3:00 PM at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Sulphur Springs.
