Minerva was the wife of Judge Samuel Franklin Brown and the daughter of William H. & Sarah (Colyer) Price of Somerset, Pulaski Co., Kentucky. She married Samuel, Jan. 8, 1902, in Level Green, Rockcastle, Kentucky. They were the patents of five children; Mina May, Leona Margaret, Clyde W., Roberta and Charles P. Minerva received her teaching degree at Collegiate Institute in Somerset, Kentucky. Samuel and Minerva moved from Kentucky to McAlester in 1903. Minerva did substituting teaching in the early years. She was a devoted mother and a contributing member of the community. Minerva was a member of the First Christian Church and Antek Homa Chapter, Order of Eastern Star.
