MONTEITH - Randall J., 30, South Fork died unexpectedly Thursday, May 25, 2017 in South Fork, PA. Born October 22, 1986 in Fayette County, Preceded in death by father, James R Monteith. Survived by mother, Christine (Ringler) Monteith, Pittsburgh; sister Amanda S (Monteith) Baily and husband, Taylor, Pittsburgh; Grandparents, Jim & Sue Ringler, Hollsopple; Grandmother, Bridget Monteith, Stoystown, and Great Grandmother, Leone Ringler. Also survived by three children, Camdon, Mason, and Brighten as well as four nieces and nephews, Jimmy, Jack, Josh, and Eleanor. Randy leaves behind very good friend, Jerry McCarty, South Fork; Aunt & Uncle, Rhonda and Bryan Thomas, Hooversville; and special cousins, Alicia, Jon, and Rusty; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. Randy attended North Star High School in Boswell and worked several construction jobs. Addiction takes on many different faces. Addiction does not discriminate based on age, race, sex, income level, or education. Beneath the surface of the mask of addiction Randy was a very animated character with a loving character. He could talk the ear off of anyone, sell ice to an Eskimo, and make the grumpiest soul laugh with their whole body. He loved his family and his children and wanted desperately to be the provider and caretaker that they needed and deserved. Addiction has left our family with the words "if only" in our every thoughts, but it hasn't robbed us of the good memories of the great times we had together in our hearts. That's the Randy we will choose to have in memory of him. We pray that with the loss of our Randy that those who knew him and may be lost behind that same mask may think and choose to seek help and healing before it is too late. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. In Lieu of flowers please make donations to the family.
