Joseph Wayne Cissell, 46, of Bardstown, died Thursday, April 19, 2007, at Hardin Memorial Hospital. Mr. Cissell was a native of Bardstown and a 1979 graduate of Nelson County High School. He was the owner/operator of Cissell's Fencing Company and a member of the Catholic faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph Chester "Check" and Mary Rita Ball Cissell. He is survived by two sisters, Ann Michelle Brumleve of Louisville and Lisa Mitchell of Greenwood, SC; 2 nieces and 1 nephew; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and his caretaker Hal Newton of Bardstown.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, April 23, 2007 at 10:00 am at St. Thomas Church with burial in St. Thomas Cemetery.
Officiating: Reverend Steve Pohl
Visitation will be held Sunday, April 22, 2007 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Mann and Greenwell Funeral Home. Prayer service will be held at 6:00 pm at Mann and Greenwell Funeral Home by Deacon Sam Filiatreau.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society.
