Paul O. Moffett Jr., 63, 905 S.W. Fifth St., died at 5:45 p.m. Monday at his residence.
A private funeral service will be at the Sugarland Memory Gardens Chapel at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Interment will immediately follow. Bro. Paul Hyatt will officiate. There will be no visitation. Ed Lee Mortuary handled arrangements.
He was born in Daviess County to Paul H. and Cora Viola (Teitsort) Moffett, on July 31, 1936. He married Beverly Joan Thomas on June 29, 1956 and she survives.
Moffett attended Washington High School, served in the U.S. Army from 1954-57 and was retired from U.S. Gypsum. He was also an Alfordsville Assembly of God Church member.
Also surviving are: a son, Paul Michael Moffett; two daughters, Anna Marie Halbert and Mary Lorraine Bennett; two brothers, Bill Moffett and Steve Moffett; five sisters, Betty Burton, Lois Bingham, Juanita Tomson, Shirley Chanley and Jane Hayes; four grandchildren and a great-grandchild, all of Washington.
Preceding him in death were: a brother, Robert ÒSargeÓ Moffett and a sister, Anna Williams.
Memorial contributions may be made to Good Samaritan Hospice, the American Cancer Society or the Washington Catholic Endowment Fund.
