Dorothy Jean Fountain Bozeman died peacefully on March 3, 2018 in Jacksonville, FL at the age of 88.

Dorothy is survived by her husband and love of her life, Douglas Broughton Bozeman of Cochran, GA; three children, Judy Frey, Jacksonville, FL, Douglas Jr. (Margie) Bozeman, Kathleen, GA, and Tammy (Leo) Madrid, Jacksonville, FL; five grandchildren, Raymond (Catherine) Frey, Jessica (Alex) Ostrowski, Joshua (Jennifer) Bozeman, Tara (Jon) Shorley, Tabitha Tripp; and eight great-grandchildren, Caroline Frey, Nicholas Ostrowski, Victoria Ostrowski, Will Frey, Ella Shorley, Sean Patrick Ostrowski, Eli Bozeman, and Emily Shorley. She was the daughter of Alex Fountain and Nannie Lou Nesmith Fountain of Empire, GA.

She played basketball for Dodge County High School where she graduated in 1947. She later married Douglas Bozeman and they made their home in Cochran, GA. They were happily married for over sixty-three and a half years.

Dorothy was a dedicated and faithful Christian that lived her life in service to others. She was constantly volunteering to participate in worthy causes in her community and church. She served as the secretary of First Baptist Church for 25 years where she was an active member that led by example. She enjoyed being a member and teacher of the Lucille Wilson Sunday School Class and a member of the Singing Seniors Choir. She was an active member of many philanthropic organizations including the Cochran Women's Club and was a former president of the Pilot Club. She enjoyed painting, quilting, sewing, and travelling with her family and friends.

A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 2pm at First Baptist Church, Cochran, GA. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Dorothy's life. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to First Baptist Church, 101 South Second Street, Cochran, Georgia 31014. The family would like to thank all who loved her and shared in her happiness throughout the years.
