Florence Porter Ewing, eldest daughter of John & Mary (Anthony) Porter, was born before 1750 in Ulster or Pennsylvania. She married William Ewing c1770 in Prince Edward County Virginia.

In addition to the children below, the Ewing's raised her siblings, Francis, Rachel and perhaps Oliver Porter, after mother Mary Porter's death c 1769.

Florence Ewing Porter's death occurred before 13 October 1829 when it was noticed on page 8 of the Caney Fork Presbyterian Church minutes. Some have suggested 13 Feb 1812, while others claim it must have been after a deed registered 8 Aug 1822 in Butler County KY.
