SHREVEPORT, LA – Services Celebrating the Life of Margaret Ann Bell, 89, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 9, 2018, at Woodridge Baptist Church, Shreveport, LA, with Rev. Chuck McInturf officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at Forest Park Cemetery, 3700 St. Vincent Ave., Shreveport, LA.

Margaret was born June 4, 1928, in Hattiesburg, MS to Thelma Vivian Roberts Bell and Bertie O. Bell and passed away peacefully at home June 2, 2018, in Shreveport, LA. She was small in stature but had the biggest heart. Margaret loved everyone and they knew it. Her love for God, her family and of course her church was so evident in her life. If you ever met Margaret she always had a hug and smile for you. Over the years she taught in Sunday School, Vacation Bible School and Discipleship training. Wherever she was needed she went, and if anyone had a need she was right there to help. “Well done thy good and faithful servant.” She will be truly missed.

Margaret was preceded in death by her mother, father, step-mother Marie P. Bell, maternal grandparents, Warren P. and Margaret Roberts, paternal grandparents, Columbus O. and Annie Bell, and sister-in-law, Evelyn Bell. Left to cherish her memory is her sister Janita Kelley of Shreveport, LA; brothers, Rev. Alvis M. Bell of Needville, TX and Robert P. Bell and wife Jean of Fredericksburg, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Special thanks to Joe Floyd for his care and concern for Margaret over the years, and Regional Hospice for their care and compassion.

Honoring Margaret as pallbearers will be Steve Gordon, Jeff Cole, Randy Roe, Jen Courtney, Johnny DeWitt and Roger Rossett.
