On January 26, 1974 at the St. Vital Hospital, Mary Elizabeth Stodgell, aged 84 years of 643 Pasadena Ave. Mrs. Stodgell was born and lived her first 23 years in Woodlands before moving to Fisherton where she lived until retiring from the farm in 1961 to move to Winnipeg. She represented the Silver Cross mothers in Ottawa in 1963. Mrs. Stodgell is survived by a daughter Frieda (Mrs. Henry Prystenski) of Winnipeg, three sons; Roy and Norman, both of Winnipeg, Lloyd of Edmonton, 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son Victor accidently in 1935, three sons during World War Two; Garnet, Stanley and Cyril, and her husband Charles in 1958.
