Andrea Monique Collins, 58, made her transition on May 27, 2018. A celebration of her life will be held Friday, June 8, at 11:00 AM at St. Luke A.M.E. Church, 146 Clinton Ave, Newark, NJ. Interment is in Glendale Cemetery, Bloomfield, NJ. Visitation is Thursday, June 7, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the church. Arrangements are by Whigham Funeral Home.
A lifelong resident of Newark, Andrea was a retired teacher for the Newark Board of Education.
She was the beloved wife of Samuel Collins Sr.; devoted mother of Nadia Collins and the late Samuel Collins Jr.; dear daughter of the late Anderson Walker Jr. and Eleanor Motley Walker; loving sister of Paula Walker, Kim Morgan, Marc Chandler, Anderson Walker III (Denise), Clarice Walker, Rod Sutton (Jean), and the late Michael Walker; cherished grandmother of six grandchildren. She is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends.
