E. Ardelle 'Mitzi' Allen

E. Ardelle 'Mitzi' (Lewis) Allen of Bellevue, Washington, daughter of Trevor R. Lewis and Elsie Murray Pace, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2018, embraced by her children, grandchildren and close friends. She was preceded in death by her husband John Aloysius Allen, her sisters Marilwyn Henderson and Patricia 'Patsy' Fritz, and brother Trevor Lewis, Jr.

Mitzi was born in Olympia, WA. and attended Holy Names Academy and Seattle University. She and John married in 1956 and had five children whom they raised in Portland, San Francisco and Seattle. She will be remembered for the many adventures she created for her family - legendary camping trips, magical summers on her father's ranch in Northern California, holidays and birthday parties to which she applied her amazing creative talents, and her singular genius when serving up epic April Fools' pranks. The highlights of her life were her eleven grandchildren and countless nieces and nephews, with whom she passed on her love of travel, family traditions, reading, gardening, storytelling and teaching. Generous beyond measure with her time and many talents, she shared her sense of curiosity and unquenchable thirst for knowledge with all those she knew. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her children: Tracey Caraluzzi (Mark), Kelley Allen (Andy), Ardelle Rivera (Arturo), Sean (Sonia) and Trevor (Ben) Allen; and her grandchildren Ardelle, Audrey and Roman Rivera; John (Rachael), Connor, Carson, Madeleine and Isabelle Caraluzzi; Maclaren, Emerson and Revson Allen; and great-grand daughter, Ellah May Caraluzzi.

There will be a Funeral Mass at

1:00, June 8 at St. Therese Church,

Seattle. A reception will follow at Lark Restaurant, Seattle. Mitzi and John will be interred together at Holyrood Cemetery, 1:00, Saturday, June 9 - 205 NE 205th St, Shoreline/Seattle, 98155.
