Glen Lewis, 67, passed away on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at his home near Pomona, Kansas. He was born on September 16, 1950 in Ottawa, Kansas, the son of George and Elizabeth Neill Lewis.

Glen grew up in Quenemo and lived there until moving to Pomona in 1986. He graduated Quenemo High School in 1968 as Valedictorian. He served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam from 1969 to 1971. He worked for Hallmark Cards before and after his service. Later, with his brother Ben, he owned and operated a grocery store, gas station and bus service for several years. He then worked for the Corps of Engineers at Melvern Lake as a heavy equipment operator and water plant operator until his retirement.

Glen was a member of the Lyndon American Legion Post #125 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars #6406. He enjoyed golfing and was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing throughout his life. He was a true Royals fan and always followed his grandchildren in their sports.

Glen was married to Delma Wolken on August 25, 1973 in Lawrence, they later divorced. He married Jeanette Booe on August 1, 1986 in Pomona.

Glen was preceded in death by his parents, George and Elizabeth; his two brothers, Don Lewis and Ben Lewis; and by a nephew, Troy Lewis.

Glen is survived by his wife Jeanette of the home; his four children, Stacy (Jeff) Welton of Pomona, Jason​ (Angela)​ Booe of ​St. Petersburg, ​Florida, Dana​ Lewis (Al)​ Creekmore of Caldwell, Idaho and Bret Lewis of Lyndon; his sister, Mary Jo Carswell of Quenemo; and five grandchildren.

Funeral services for Glen will be at 10:00am on Thursday, June 7 at the Feltner Funeral Chapel in Lyndon. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery at Quenemo.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:00pm on Wednesday at the funeral home, where Royals attire is suggested.
