Historian and USC University Professor Kevin Starr, who served as the State Librarian for California for a decade, died on January 14 in San Francisco. He was 76. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Sheila; his daughters Marian (Arthur Imperatore) and Jessica (Michael McEvoy); and seven grandchildren.
