Funeral services for Mrs. Ethel Anderson Walker age 95 are scheduled for Sunday August 14 2005 at 4:00 PM at the Union Baptist Church in the Chesterfield Community of Henderson County with Rev. Aaron Armstrong and Rev. David Walker officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Walker a homemaker died Friday August 12 2005 at the Henderson County Community Hospital. She was the widow of Howard Walker and a longtime member of the Union Baptist Church. She was a loving and giving person and enjoyed cooking especially her 'Friendship Cake' for her family and friends. Survivors include her daughter Jane Walker Anderson and her son Willie Wayne Walker both of Lexington; three grandchildren John Walker Elizabeth Wormsley and Mary Lynne Bower and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother Elbert 'Buck' Anderson; her sister Ida Walker; a half-sister Pearlie Turner and her half-brother Edgar Cottrell.
