Born on June 3, 1943 in Central Falls, RI, she was the daughter of the late Ira and Leona (Grosch) King.
Betty worked for ten years as a Data Entry Clerk for Calibre, before retiring. Before living in Seekonk, she had been a resident of South Attleboro, MA for more than twenty years.
Betty was a warm, caring, and creative woman who loved arts and crafts, especially sewing and crocheting. She enjoyed collecting dolls, watching baseball and her favorite television shows: Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune; and held a special place in her heart for her pet dogs over the years. More than anything, Betty loved being with her family: her cherished daughter and grandchildren.
She was the loving mother of Kimberly E. (Bowling) Lima and her companion, Michael R. Chase, of Seekonk, MA; and the adoring grandmother of Raquel E. Lima and Shantel K. Lima. Betty was the sister of William King and his wife, Rita King, of South Attleboro, MA; and Paul King of Warwick, RI. She was the aunt of Linda King, William King Jr., Theresa King, and Christine Brown, and leaves her special niece-in-law, Melissa Clark of Providence, RI. She leaves her granddaughter's father, Luis T. Lima of Attleboro, MA.
Friends and family are cordially invited to honor and remember Betty by gathering for a Visitation in the “Memorial Chapel” of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue North Attleboro, MA, immediately followed by a Funeral Service at Dyer-Lake Funeral Home.
Burial will be in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA, at which time Betty will be laid to rest alongside her dear late husband, Kenneth.
