Buried in the mausoleum in the churchyard at Kilcash Castle in County Tipperary.

Walter Butler, 16th Earl of Ormonde & 9th Earl of Ossory. He was son of John and Frances Butler.

Walter succeeded to the Earldom from his first cousin John Butler, who was the son of his uncle Col. Thomas Butler, on 24 June 1766.

Married 19 December 1732 to Ellen(Eleanor) Morres, daughter of Nicholas Morres of the Court, County Dublin.
