Oliver H Taggart

Oliver Hazard Perry Taggart was born on March 24, 1824 in Sharon, New Hampshire to Susannah Law and Washington Taggart.

He moved with his parents to Nauvoo, Illnois to be with the LDS Saints and less than three months later he died. Oliver died at the age of nineteen. He died on September 1, 1843. Oliver's father, Washington, died the next day.

Oliver's mother, Susannah wrote ( September 6, 1843) to her sons Albert, Samuel and Henry in New Hampshire: "The subject upon which I must write makes the task a painful one, for I must tell you, my children, you are fatherless... Oliver died the first day of Semptember Five o'clock in the afternoon and your father about the same time the next day. You may judge what my feelings must be, situated as I am in a land of strangers, though the neighbors are very kind, and the people, as far as I have any acquaintance, are good."
