Mrs. W.J. King died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Daniel Kinney, living southwest of town, last Monday after an illness of over two months. Mrs. King's home was in Kansas and she came here last December to visit her children once more before she died.

Her maiden name was Charlotte Berger. She was born in Henry county, Indiana in November 1837. She moved with her parents when she was a child to Iowa, where in 1859 she was married to W.J. King. In the spring of 1870 Mr. and Mrs. King moved to Kansas, where they have since resided. Mrs. King was the mother of six children, of whom four with her husband survive. Mrs. Daniel Kinney, John and Edward King, reside in this vicinity, and Daniel King resides in Humboldt, Kansas. Mrs. King has been a faithful member of the U.B. church for many years and resigned herself peacefully to death.

The funeral was held Wednesday morning at eleven o'clock, the services taking place in the M.E. church and the interment at Cumberland cemetery. Rev. Z.T. Hatfield was the officiating minister. Mrs. King leaves besides her immediate family, four sisters and many near friends to mourn her death. - Argenta, (Ill.) Hustler.
