George J. Koza, 92, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Friday, March 2, 2018 at 10:00 am in his home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at Queen of All Saints Catholic Church, 606 S. Woodland Ave., Michigan City, IN with Rev. Kevin Huber officiating. Burial will follow in Swan Lake Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 10:15 am -11:00 am, Tuesday at Queen of All Saints Catholic Church. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City, IN is handling arrangements.

He was born December 10, 1925 in Cicero, Illinois to the late George and Emma (Hajek) Koza. On July 29, 1950 in Gas City, IN he married Betty Pace who preceded him on August 27, 2015.

Surviving are three sons, Michael (Brenda) Koza of Auburn, Indiana, Larry (Melissa) Koza of Angola, Indiana and Phil (Julie) Koza of Weston, FL; daughter, Nancy Koza Durham of Michigan City, Indiana; 12 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and daughter-in-law, Amy Koza of Crown Point, Indiana.

He was also preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey G. Koza; granddaughter, Mary Christine Koza; and two Sisters, Evelyn Ford and Doris Williams.

George retired after 43 years at NIPSCO and was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II. He was a member of Queen of All Saints Catholic Church. George enjoyed fishing and was an avid Cubs and Notre Dame Fan. He had also attended Notre Dame University.
