Lisa Otelia Griffin of Rowlett, Texas passed away on June 3, 2018 at the age of 52. She was born on December 19, 1965 to Elmore and Delphine Marie (Lovett) Griffin in Hampton, Virginia. Lisa accepted Christ at an early age in Hampton, Virginia at Ebenezer Baptist Church. She was baptized by Rev. Walter R. Dean. Lisa attended Bethel High School where she graduated with the class of 1984. She moved to Dallas, Texas in 1986 where she became an employee of Sunbelt National Mortgage. Lisa gave them eight strong years. She then moved her service to MRG Middleburg Riddle Law Firm where she dedicated 23 years. Lisa recently left MRG and went to work for Supreme Lending where she was a manager. When she moved to Dallas, Texas, Lisa joined First Baptist Church Hamilton Park under the leadership of the late Dr. J. Lee Foster and currently under the guidance of Dr. Gregory Foster. She was very active in the Mass Choir, the singles ministry and the angelic choir.

Lisa is survived by her sisters, Debra Coronado and husband, Ignacio “Nacho” of Medanales, New Mexico and Darlene Griffin and husband, Harry of Rowlett, Texas; nephew, Aquila Coronado of Rowlett, Texas; niece, Raquel Coronado of Medanales, New Mexico; aunts, Thelma Lovett of Yorktown, Virginia and Doris Garron of Richardson, Texas; uncle, Stanley Lovett and wife, Connie of Yorktown, Virginia; and numerous other loving family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A service to honor her life will be held at11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 9, 2018 at First Baptist Church Hamilton Park, 300 E. Phillips, Richardson, Texas. Interment will follow at Restland Memorial Park in Dallas, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Friday evening between the hours of 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas.
