Ruby Lee Warren, age 89, of Flora, Illinois, passed away on Tuesday, June 5, 2018, at Clay County Hospital in Flora.
Ruby was born September 17, 1928, in Lawrenceville, the daughter of Henry Edgar and Lelia Maud (Rush) Lee. She married Galen Warren on March 25, 1947, in Flora, and together they shared 40 years of marriage. He preceded her in death March 16, 1988.
During her life Ruby worked for Horace Mann Insurance Company and Kelly Services both in Springfield. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Flora.
She is survived by 4 sons: Gary Lee Warren (Georgia) of Lincoln, Joseph Eugene Warren (Virginia) of Xenia, Perry Dean Warren of Auburn, and Thomas Wayne Warren of Imperial, Missouri; 1 brother: Robert E. Lee (Marie) of Ellerslie, Georgia; 7 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 1 brother: Vernon Edgar Lee; 2 sisters: Ailene Michael and Donna Uebinger; and a daughter-in-law: Annette Warren.
A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Friday, June 8, 2018, at Oak Hill Cemetery in Springfield. Arrangements are in the care of Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora. Memorial donations may be given to Calvary Baptist Church and will be accepted through the funeral home.
