Edwina Crawley Lawson, died Friday, Dec. 2, 2005, in a local health care facility.
Edwina was a charter member of Mountain Creek Church of Christ. She was an avid rug hooker and teacher. She had also been a pediatric nurse at the old Children’s Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Lawson; parents, Hobert and Esther Shipley Nichols; brothers, Ben Crawley, Warren Crawley; and sisters, Anna Rogers and Lela Crawley.
She is survived by her brother, James (Sandy) Crawley, Pikeville, TN; niece and caregiver, Linda (Richard) Chambers, Chattanooga, Grace (Earl) Medley, Signal Mountain; nephews, John (Cathy) Crawley, Chattanooga and Larry (Mary) Crawley, Signal Mountain; great-nephews, Bryan and Scott Chambers, Benji Medley, Dustin and Derrick Crawley; great-nieces, Summer Crawley and Cathy Medley; and "her boys," Weston Chambers, and Gavin, Bryce, and Cooper Chambers; several other great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at the Coulter Chapel of Lane Funeral Home with Minister Eddie Reachard officiating. Interment will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Bryan and Scott Chambers, John and Larry Crawley, Glen R. Braly and Herman Arendale.
