Eric Vincent Mills, son of Margaret Tricarico, passed away suddenly at his home in Hagerstown, Md., on Thursday, May 31, 2018.

Eric was the owner and chef of Chef of Consequence, the concession stand at the Dead & Company (Grateful Dead) concert tours and his in-home chef services, EVM Personal Chef Services. You may also remember Eric as head chef and kitchen manager at Cafe St. Amand, Gettysburg, or Confit French Bistro, Camp Hill.

Eric was very proud of introducing children to new foods when he catered the Steelton Community Development Foundation annual children's holiday party. He really enjoyed seeing children enjoy brussel sprouts and other vegetables when the vegetable tasted like candy.

Eric was born in Scranton, Pa., and grew up in South Middleton Twp. He attended Boiling Springs schools and Harrisburg Area Community College.

Eric was smart, articulate, funny, an exceptional chef and a Grateful Dead expert. He will be greatly missed by his mother and father, Margaret and Joseph Tricarico; and brother, Bryan Tricarico. Eric also leaves to mourn his passing, his maternal grandmother, Jean Pierre; maternal grandfather, David Pierre and companion, Theresa Thompson, of Scranton; maternal aunt, Janet Pierre (James) Vezendi, of Mayfield; and paternal aunt, Mary Rose (David) Rickenbach. Eric has a large extended Pierre/Tricarico family including three paternal great-uncles and numerous cousins in the Scranton area. He is also survived by his companion, Sharaya Mobley, of Hagerstown.

Eric will now join his maternal grandfather, John Pierre; and paternal grandparents, William and Marion Tricarico in heaven.

A memorial service and tree-planting ceremony will be announced at a later time. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in the St. Catherine's Cemetery, Moscow, Pa.
