Born Jon Craig Sheely, he took the last name of his adoptive father when his mother remarried. Jon Craig Moore, CPA, MBA, passed away at his home on Monday, May 7, 2018, at the age of 71. He was born January 18, 1947, in Gainesville, Florida.

He was preceded in death by parents, Sara Ann Swords Moore and James Francis Moore. Jon earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Florida and MBA from the University of South Florida. He served his country in the United States Army and worked as a CPA in Gainesville for his father at James Moore and Company, CPAs.

In 1978 Jon started Jon Moore, CPA in Bradenton, FL where he continued working until his death. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the Sarasota County Historical Society and Friends of the South Manatee Public Library.

Jon is survived by his former wives, Jean Mozert Moore Willie and Linda English; daughter, Dana Moore Latimer (Miles); sons, Thad Bruce Mozert (wife, Deborah); James Andrew Moore; two grandsons, Joseph Moore (wife, Amanda) and Christopher Clements; three great-grandchildren, twins, Cole and Sawyer and Emilia Moore; and many friends in Gainesville and Bradenton.

The family will receive visitors at 2:00pm, and there will be a Memorial Service at 2:30pm on June 9, 2018, at the Griffith-Cline Funeral Home, Manatee Avenue in Bradenton, Florida.

While attending Gainesville High School, Jon was a member of Latin Club all three years he was there.
