Former East Sparta, Ohio resident, Jan G. Williams of Visalia, California passed away on May 29, 2018 in Visalia, California surrounded by his loving family. Jan was born December 12, 1942 in Canton, Ohio. He went to Sandy Valley High School, graduating with the Class of 1961. Jan went on to Kent State University, earning a degree in Social Work. He worked for the State of Ohio as a psychiatric social worker for 38 years before retiring. Jan is survived by his wife of 45 years, Helen Williams; two daughters, Mara Wheeler (Basheer) and Stephaney Thompson (Michael); his brother Jefford (Rose), and a host of relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Paul and Joyce Williams and his twin brother, Jack Williams Jan’s memorial service will be on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at 1 p.m. Pacific time (4 p.m. EST) at Miller Memorial Tuscany Hall, 1120 W.
