Irene was a daughter of Albert B. Lang (1861-1921) and Emilie Grabenstetter (1867-1901). She was born in Rochester, Monroe County, New York in 1890.

On May 23rd, 1916 she became the wife of Nelson Franklin Rickerman (1891-1918) in Berlin, Waterloo County, Ontario. Marriage Affidavit #022055.

Her husband died from Pneumonia in his 27th year in the dreaded Spanish Flu of 1918.

Irene then got married for the 2nd time at Detroit, Michigan to Morley Menno Rickert (1888-1943) on October 30, 1919. Michigan Marriage Records #183975.

Irene passed away at the age of 84 years, 2 months and 24 days.
