Karen Lynn Copeland, 63 of Hickory, passed away on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at her residence.
She was born September 4, 1954 in Monroe County, WV to the late Kenneth Davis Copeland and Opal Ruth Burks Copeland.
Karen was of the Baptist faith and retired from R. R. Donnelley and Hickory Printing Company in the bindery department.
She enjoyed pitching horseshoes and attending family reunions.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her three brothers; Danny Copeland, Herbie Copeland, and Jeff Copeland and sister, Ellen Copeland Fox.

Daughter: Natasha Padgett and husband Greg of Claremont

A gathering of family and friends to celebrate the life of Karen will be held on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Eufola Baptist Church, 207 Carriage Rd, Statesville, NC 28677 and on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the home of Charles and Stephanie Copeland, 4631 Bowman Rd, Hickory, NC 28602. A private graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Orchard Cemetery in West Virginia.
