He enlisted in the air force in Oct 1940 and after preliminary training was posted to Dunnville for advanced training. He was killed in a flying accident near Dunnville, Ontario.

Son of Sam and Mina (nee Engelberg) Schwartz, of Montreal, Quebec.

A double tombstone marks the graves of Frank and his lifelong friend LAC Jack Kugelmass, who was also killed in a flying accident.
