Kathleen “Kathy” Meyer, 66, resident of Green Bay, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2018, surrounded by her family following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on May 17, 1952, daughter to the late Gordon and Marion (Bauer) Ruddy in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.

Kathy was a very patriotic woman. At a young age, she served as a US Army wife traveling to many different countries and stateside assignments during the family’s 20-year military career. One of those assignments was in the Wausau, Wisconsin, area where the family ended up staying for many years. She embraced her life as an Army wife and became very active supporting her children’s interests in scouting, athletics and academics.

Some of Kathy’s favorite moments were spending time with her family and friends. She especially loved time with her four beautiful granddaughters and caring for her dogs. Anyone who knew Kathy knew how much she enjoyed being a mother and grandmother.

Kathy is survived by her husband, John; mother, Marion (Bauer) Ruddy; two children, Stacie (Patrick) Rosera, Ryan (Julie) Meyer; granddaughters, McKenna and Olivia Rosera, Lilly and Katie Meyer, as well as many other family and friends.

Kathy was preceded in death by her father, Gordon Ruddy, and sister, Karen Ruddy.

Family and friends may visit Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, at 1307 Lourdes Avenue, De Pere from 11:00 – 1:00 PM on Friday, June 8, 2018. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM with Fr. Brad Vanden Branden O.Praem. and Deacon Mike Vander Bloomen officiating. Entombment will be in the Allouez Catholic Mausoleum. RYAN FUNERAL HOME, De Pere is assisting the family. Please go to www.ryanfh.com to send online condolences to the family.

Kathy’s family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Sigurdur Bodvarsson and the staff of St. Vincent Hospital and Oncology, Autumn’s Promise and Unity Hospice and everyone who cared and visited Kathy in the last year. Very special thanks to two of her caregivers, Bethany & Judith of Autumn’s Promise. She called them her angels.

In lieu of flowers, we have established a memorial fund. If you wish to donate to a memorial in Kathy’s name, all donations will be going to Happily Ever After Animal Shelter, in honor of her love for animals.
