Kimberly Ann Perkins of Chesapeake was born on December 31, 1979 in Norfolk Virginia.

She was a 1998 graduate of Oscar Smith High School in Chesapeake Virginia. Kimberly then went on to Norfolk State University to continue her education. Kimberly had varied interests; she was a four year member of the Oscar Smith High School Marching Band where she played the clarinet. She also played basketball during her middle school years couples with softball during her summers in a recreation league. Her parents also have fond memories of her taking ballet. Kimberly took pleasure in watching Mystery and Thriller Television Shows with a little Science Fiction and Reality TV mixed in.

Kimberly is survived by her parents, Brenda A. Perkins and Elmo L. Perkins of Chesapeake, VA, who feel blessed to have had a beautiful, loving and devoted daughter who brought them so much happiness. Others who mourn her loss are her brother; Rodney Perkins (Jeannie) of Maryland, her uncle’s; Ruben Perkins (Linda), and Rudolph Perkins (Juanita), Arnicholes Blount (JoAnn) all of Chesapeake, Andronica Blount of Brockton, MA, Charlie Blount (Patricia) of Nathalie, VA, two aunts; Helen Harris of Norfolk, VA, Ruby Godfrey of Williamsburg, VA and a host of other relatives and friends.

Wake Service, 6-8pm, Monday, February 10, 2014, Berkley Avenue. A funeral will be held, 11am, Tuesday, February 11, 2014, Metropolitan Funeral Service, Berkley Avenue Chapel, 120 W. Berkley Avenue Norfolk VA. Interment at Roosevelt Memorial Park, 1101 Campostella Road Chesapeake VA.
