Anita Sue Jordan, 63, of Rustburg, passed away June 1, 2018.

Anita was born in Campbell County, February 18, 1955, the youngest daughter of the late Clyde E. Jordan, Sr., and the late Mae Riley Jordan. She lived on the home farm her entire life. She was a lifetime member of New Chapel Baptist Church, where she served on many committees, sang in the choir, was a member of the Baptist Women, and served as Church Clerk.

Anita was a retired employee of Campbell County, where she worked in the Real Estate and Mapping Office for her entire 30 year career, the last five years being the office manager. She was a member of the Campbell County Historical Society, served on their Board of Directors, and worked on a county-wide cemetery database. After retiring, Anita volunteered at Gleaning for the World.

She is survived by one brother, Ed, two sisters, Rebecca and Dian and one nephew, Timothy.

In addition to her parents, Anita was preceded in death by her beloved cat “Baby.”

Anita was a graduate of Rustburg High School and received a degree in Accounting from CVCC.

She loved to read, work jigsaw puzzles and travel, having traveled as far away as Austria, Switzerland and Hawaii.

A memorial service will be held 12 pm., Monday, June 4, 2018 at New Chapel Baptist Church, 1977 New Chapel Road, with Pastor Tim Dooley officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church and other times at her sister’s residence.
