Quinten Lawrence Savoie, 11 year old son of Stasha Bell and Leroy “Lee” Savoie, Jr. all of Lake Charles, passed away at 3:46 PM on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 in his residence after a courageous battle with cancer.

Quinten was born on February 21, 2007 in Lake Charles where he attended St. Margaret Catholic School. The entire school family was highly supportive of Quinten and his family throughout his entire illness.

Others should strive to be like Quinten, selfless throughout his entire life, never complaining about the path that was chosen for him. He will be remembered for his compassion, dry sense of humor and his love for animals, especially his furry companion, Bruiser.

He enjoyed life to the fullest, even playing his Xbox until his body would not allow on the day of his passing. Quinten was an avid Star Wars fan and enjoyed playing with Legos and also playing basketball. His favorite thing to do was spend time with his brother, Reece, and three best friends, Ben, Gage, and Jude. He was often seen wearing his yellow hat, his favorite color.

Those left to cherish his memory are his parents; his 12 year old brother, Reece Wesley Savoie; maternal grandparents, Royia and Lawrence “Larry” Bell; paternal grandparents, Hilda and Leroy Savoie, Sr. all of Lake Charles; and an uncle, Mitchell Bell and wife Melissa of Spring, TX. He also leaves behind to cherish his memory many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A celebration of life will begin at 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church followed by a reception in the church parish hall. The Rev. Seth Donald will officiate. A gathering of family and friends will begin at 1:00 PM until the start of the service. Please wear something yellow, his favorite color, in memory of Quinten.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Chance for Hope Foundation, chanceforhopefoundation.org; St. Margaret Catholic School, stmcs.com; Christus St. Patrick Foundation, stpatrickfoundation.org; or to Big Love Cancer Care, biglovecancercare.org.
