Marie Edwards, age 82, a resident of Oliver Springs, passed away, Thursday, May 31, 2018 at her home.
Mrs. Edwards was born November 20, 1935 in Carter County, TN.
She lived most of her life in this area and was a member of Beech Park Baptist Church.
She loved doing crafts and quilting with her church family and also dedicated a lot of time to her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents Jack Griffith and Viola Griffith; by her husband, James W. Edwards; by brothers Robert and Phyllis Griffith, Bill Griffith, and Ralph Griffith; by brothers-in-law Alford and Mary Edwards, George Edwards and Roger Daniels.
Marie is survived by a brother, Richard Griffith of Atlanta, GA; by sisters: Judy Daniels of Rockwood, Ann Davis and Don of Clinton, and Jane Griffith of Claxton; by sisters-in-law: Brenda Keene of Knoxville, and Shelby Brown of South Carolina; she is also survived by special neighbors: Cecil Holland and Tammy and Eugene Kelley along with a host of extended family members.
The family will receive friends, Monday, June 7, 2018 between the hours of 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm at Premier Sharp Funeral Home.
The funeral will follow at 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Robbie Leach officiating.
