TATE - Myrtle H. Tate, 91, passed away May 1, 2000 in Volusia Co., FL where she had resided for the past 4 years. A native of Whitehouse, FL, she was a resident of Jacksonville FL for many years and was a former resident of Denham Springs, LA where she was a member of Dawn Ave. Baptist Church. Mrs. Tate was a retired nurse and a member of the Magnolia Rebekah Lodge #72 in LA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ervin Tate and grandson, Michael James Hires. Survivors include her son, Thomas James Hires and his wife Margie; brother, Lawrence Hysler; 2 grandchildren, Jan Taylor and Beverly Hires; 3 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, May 5, 2000 in the Chapel of TOWN & COUNTRY FUNERAL HOME, 7242 Normandy Blvd. with open visitation beginning at Noon. Interment will follow in Riverside Memorial Park.
