ELLIS - Joan M., 88, of Johnstown, died on May 26, 2018. Born December 3, 1929 in Johnstown, daughter of Earl K. Ellis and Eleanor (Clark) Sheesley. Preceded in death by her parents and stepfather George Sheesley. She was the last surviving member of her family. Joan retired as a librarian of Hiram G. Andrews Center in 1989 with 21 years of service. She was a former resident of Morgantown WV, working as assistant curator of the West Virginia Collection of WVU Library. She had also been librarian of Shadyside Hospital School of Nursing and a library assistant at Gulf Oil Corp., both in Pittsburgh. She was a member and long-time organist of the Johnstown Seventh Day Adventist Church. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 PM on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Frank Duca Funeral Home, WESTMONT CHAPEL, 1622 Menoher Blvd. Johnstown PA 15905. Pastor Gerald L. Small. Interment, Grandview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Multiple Sclerosis of Cambria County, 113 Hammer Ave. Johnstown PA 15905 in her memory.
