Betty Jean Vines, age 91, of Sarasota, Florida was taken by the angels to a better place on May 26, 2018. She was born November 6, 1926 in Fairmont, West Virginia, to the late Georgina and Raymond Parker.
She built her life around her husband and family. Her love and devotion to her family was never ending. Her love will never end.
Betty Jean graduated from Fairmont Senior High School in Fairmont, West Virginia. During her life, she wrote and published personal poems.
She is survived by her daughter Pamela Jo Kissick (Edward P. Kissick); her grandson, Eric A. Kuusela; her great-granddaughter, Mackenzie Fawn Kuusela; and her sister; Deloris J. Parker Anderson.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Elbert A. Vines; her parents, Georgina and Raymond Parker; her sisters, Ruth Lee Parker Wright and Dorothy Ann Parker Cogar; and her brothers Jon R. Parker, Edward D. Parker, and William J. Parker.
Private graveside services will be held at Palms-Robarts Memorial Park, with Dr. Alan Rodda of Church of the Palms presiding.
