John Hamilton Stapp, 13, passed away on March 11, 2004, the result of a tragic accident.
John was born on December 23, 1990 in Lautzenhausen, Germany to Steve and Lisa Stapp. He joined his sister, Jessica, who quickly began to mother him, beginning a close relationship in which they became playmates and friends. He even followed her example in committing his life to Christ at age five.
The Stapp family moved from Germany to the Colorado Springs area in 1992, living first in Divide before moving to the Springs in 2000. John attended The Christian Academy of Teller County and Colorado Springs Christian Elementary School and began sixth grade at Eagleview Middle School in 2002.
