MATOAKA – Johnny Farmer, Sr., 56, of Matoaka, died Tuesday, May 29, 2018. Born May 12, 1962 in Princeton, he was the son of the late Leonard “Slim” Farmer and Estelle Casey Farmer.

Johnny was a disabled former construction worker and enjoyed gardening. He was of the Pentecostal faith and loved his grandkids.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Mary Lee Kish Tabor.

Survivors include son, J.W. Farmer and his fiancée Amanda Meadows of Princeton; sister, Linda Hutchens and husband Bill of Princeton; brothers, Mark Farmer and wife Janet of Matoaka, Gerald Kish and wife Lorraine, Bill Kish and wife Rebecca all of Lashmeet and Timmy Kish and wife Shelia of Davenport, FL; and six grandchildren, Mikey, Nahaven, Ashley, Kailey, Savannah and Jada.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, June 2, 2018 at the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton with Pastor Jerry Heaton officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton.
