Gregory Cole, age 59, of Lexington, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, May 29, 2018, at his home. Born on April 22, 1959, in Cynthiana, Kentucky, he was a son of the late Alson, Sr., and Virgie Dickerson Cole. He was a veteran of the United States Army National Guard and a former employee of Parker Seal. He had several hobbies including playing guitar, bluegrass music and remodeling houses and tinkering.

He is survived by: two children, Tina Jump and Shawn Cole, of Georgetown, Kentucky; one grandchild, Caden Cole; five brothers, Alson (Ruth Ann) Cole, Jr., of Frankfort, Kentucky, Virgil (Darlene) Cole, of Covington, Kentucky, Darryl (Sue) Cole, of Cynthiana, Ricky (Linda) Cole, of Falmouth, Kentucky, and Jeff (Brenda) Cole, of Cynthiana; five sisters, Betty (Robert) Hannah, of Cynthiana, Verna Lewis, of Lexington, Linda Fraley (Kenny Young), of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, Karen (Wayne) Stevenson, of Lexington, and Debbie (Randy) Gill, of Cynthiana; several nieces, nephews, cousins; and a host of extended family members and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: a daughter, Amanda Cole; four brothers, Raymond, Elwood, Ronnie and Lonnie Ray; and a sister, Fannie.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Monday, June 4, at Woodhead Funeral Home, in Berry. Burial, with full military honors, will take place in Pythian Grove Cemetery. The visitation will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Memorial contributions are suggested to: the American Legion, Hardin-Browning Post #109, 111 Montjoy Street, Falmouth, Kentucky 41040; or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105
